25% off AGV lids

Yep first lid I ever bought myself, bit noisy but other than that no complaints.

I'm worried about the road noise. I have a HJC CL-ST and that's alright, never found it bad. I don't really have anything to compare it though so I kinda don't wanna move out of my comfort zone and buy something I'm not gonna like.

Never tried a HJC so cant comment mate, I ride with ear plugs for anything longer than 10 miles so never had a problem with noisy lids really.

My XR1000 is probably the quietest out of my S4 and Viper GT

Hmm, might just stick to getting some new gloves, mine are knackered and they're cheaper. Gonna go try some helmets on, is there anywhere that will let you test ride them, doubt it?

Nope but most decent shops will allow you to wear them for a lengthy period in store so you can see if they give you and pressure points.

Thought as much. I've heard that over 40mph is too loud to even ride without earplugs, not ideal for me as my bike is my only transport as I need something that's reasonable and not just for the weekends :( love the look of the helmet in white and blue though.

Got that e-mail this morning too.

Was looking at getting a helmet for a pillion but also to use as a spare. If the AVG comes in cheaper then I'll end up with one of those. Otherwise the Caberg looked nice and had a decent safety rating, 4 stars I think.

hein gericke stock S4 lids and they seem to be pretty good at letting your try on/keep on lids for a while

As an average its apparently 90DB at 40mph so really everyone should wear ear plugs if they don't want tinnitus, of which plenty of bikers have :p

Not good, cant really go on one guys experience though, could have just got a defected helmet, bit harsh to say hes not going to buy AGV again because of 1 lid yet hes worn AGV for years and had no problem!

What's the problem with earplugs? You should be using them anyway, even with the less noisy helmets.

This tempting..I was set on getting the Caberg V2RR...

I like the look of this and was/am planning on having it as a second/pillion helmet. I'll get it in white though if it's available. I noticed how much easier it is to spot a white helmet than a dark one. From right down the end of the industrial estate we were practising on and the blue black ones just faded in to the background where as the white ones stood out a mile.
