25% rise in domestic gas prices forecast, possibly this week

Channel 4 have just reported that there is speculation (source inside British Gas parent Centrica) that a 25% hike in gas prices, along with a rise in electricity prices, is likely to happen in the coming weeks, possibly even this week, from British Gas. :eek:

Just glad I'm on a fixed price contract, but I dread to think what the hike is going to be next year when that ends.

Who is your fixed price contract with Beserker ?
As I understand it BG are amongst the cheapest suppliers at the moment.

Scottish Power Online Energy. BG do indeed have a cheap offer which undercuts mine, but I don't think it's their regular offer.

There has been a bit of an issue with the energy supply to the UK recently...

Expect it to get worse before it gets.... much, much worse
