Hey all,

Just bought a 2500K from here, and a
Asus P8P67 PRO Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION ** mobo.

As it's OEM, I need to get a new heatsink-fan.. (Although I do have a Freezer Pro 7 that I used to use on my q6600, would it fit the new socket?)

What Heatsink-fan is suitable? There're no restrictions really.. using a Coolermaster Cosmos case that's plenty big enough for anything.

Most important points (in this order):
Keep Processor Cool
Cost
Quietness

I'm not too bothered about the noise as have a 470gtx that's loud as is.

Thanks people,

S

I would say the titan fenrir which is what I have with that board but you need to DIY the bracket that comes with it to make it fit.

Superv cooler and is so quiet its unbelievable!

thermaltake frio IMO

i had the fenrir but pain in the ass to fit - bracket does need modifying to fit past heatsink on P8p67 board - i sent it back

thermaltake is doddle to fit and giving excellent cooling

Hey all,

Spoke to the sales team who persueded me to go the H-50 route! So now I'm going to be doing (easy) watercooling for the first time.. oh gosh.

Hopefully it should all go well, thank you all for suggestions, reason I went H50 in the end was cause it as only £6 more than the cooler I was looking at and space isn't an issue.

Thanks guys.

Likewise on the H50 - not fitted yet but like you got a 2500K to cool. Always fancied watercooling and this offered a perfect opportunity (it was a today only offer last Friday).
