2500k partnering?

Hi all, what is the cheapest mobo youd consider partnering with a 2500k? I plan to overclock but only to 4.2 or whatever the standard is.

Ah, was just looking for something SLI that wasnt a lot more expensive, trying to keep costs down, would prefer SLI.

Think the MSI will be better for him, cheaper and with the OCgenie button he gets a simple painless 4.2GHZ.

Theres no SLi support.

And I dont think any voltage control.

Need to decide if you really need the extra features of the Z68 over a P67 board for the extra £15. Stulid suggestion would do everything you need and all the Z68 really offers different is SSD Caching and Lucid Virtu, and as mentioned MSI boards have OCgenie.

The stock cooler has been used by Anandtech and Guru3D to go past 4GHZ.

These chips overclock very well. Both my Core i5-2500K and Core i7-2600K hit ~4.4GHz, fully stable, using the stock low-profile cooler.

Not much wrong with the asus le if you're looking for about 4ghz. Used it in a CS5 build for a relative and had no problems. Settled on a 3.8ghz everyday oc via the multiplier, although the autotune at 4.3ghz seemed stable. Cheap but pretty cheerful imo.

Noise is the main problem with the stock cooler. Temps less so.

sound isn't the issue with me, luckily, what would be the cheapest cooler worth getting? im not going to oc too extreme levels but pretty high
