250gb or 500gb

im wanting either a 250Gb external hard rive or a 500gb external hard drive recommendation on what you think i should get

What interface do you want - USB, Firewire or eSATA?

Any preference for drive make?

Do you want a pre-built solution or would you be happy to build one yourself?

i would like usb, not both if i have to make it my self, any pro and con of makeing or buying ready made ones

If you make it yourself you have the choice of caddy and drive, you're not limited to the options offered by the manufacturers but you won't get any of the backup software etc that the pre-built drives offer.
