Why bother with SB-E? Wait for the server chips and jump in with a dual-procecssor system. Add a couple od HD7970, 96GB ram and a few SSD in RAID 10 and you're laughing
More seriously though - if you currently have a 2600K and all you do is play games and browse the interweb, then you already have more processing power than you currently use. No point increasing your procecssor power just to have more idle time (and cores/threads).
As others have suggested, there are better upgrade options for the same money.
SSD would increase load speeds
New gpu (depends what you already have)
Memory (again, depends what you have)
