Hi there

Need a board for 2600X was looking at Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro. Seems to be a lot of negative feedback on the VRMs. I won’t be over clocking the CPU. Will this board be ok? Any other recommendations let me know.

ran mine at 1.46v and was fine! that was with 2700 clocked to 4.0ghz as its a bad cpu chip :(

thermals are fine , they did get caught out with stating VRM count but havent noticed an issue using it

plus you get a free 256gb if they are still in stock

It'll handle your 6 Core cpu without problems. At the end of the day you can just place a fan on the VRMs and you won't have any problems.

fans on the VRM... if its a workstation board running 24/7 and AVX then yes but all b350/b450/x470/x370 boards are fine, specially for gaming, VRMs run under half their max possible heat .

one thing ALL vendors suffer from is use good aweful thermal pads - dropped my ASUS ROG boards in the past by using better thermal pads normally knocking off 10c
