2666 Ram... is it worth running it?

i will upload a pic, cheers.

They are at 11-13-13-35 for 2666 but now that its running slightly less than that they will need adjusting again

Run 2600 man at same timings. IMC 1.1 VTT 1.1 should do it. You using 16gb 4x4 or 8gb 2 x4gb

The 2 x 4gb option should work at that frequency but may require tuning.

2400 C10 first.

2x8 and was looking at getting 16 but knocked the idea on the head as I don't actually need it.

I'm running 2600 at the moment as test to see how well it reboots. I will get a few screenshots in the morning or when I get back from work to see what you think. I think the timings are still set at 11-13-13-35 but will get voltage setting etc on the screenshots

Thanks again for the advice!

2 x8gb hmmmmmmmm high density is the issue. OK 2666 may be too high on Ivy.

Reboot and actual memory problems are two different issues. Does it actually run your games and progs stable once in windows?? does it pass memtest at full speed?? or 2600

Sorry I mistyped above, it is 2x4 as you stated earlier, and was debating on wether or not go get another 2x4.

But yeah mem test and gaming are fine at 2666 but it simply won't boot at 2666 after being switched on for a period of time and having moderate to high use. The only way to get it to boot is to lower the speed to 2200/2400, before I had made these adjustments anyways as so far 2600 seems quite stable.

I did get some screenshots but the PC at work isnt detecting the stick so will have to upload them when i get back home -.-

Thats cold boot so Bios is teh problem or voltage with it.

Sme board like offset overclocking to avoid cold boot issues. Try this.

Also try VTT IMC up!!!!

I don't think my board offers enough offset voltage for my 4.7Ghz OC :-S

I've had a good play withbthe VTT and IMC but will try push the limits a little more :P
