27" 2560x1440 monitor upgrade time GFX question

Ive lately been messing about with nvidias DSR, using 2560x1600. Bf4 is my main game and gotta say ive been impressed with how a pair of stock 780's perform in it. Bench below on max settings, 4x msaa.

Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
64462, 600000, 68, 144, 107.437

The above was on paracel storm which is one of the most demanding maps in the game.

Should be fine but I often go over 3GB VRAM with 1440p.

On bf4 i think my ram usage is around 2700mb at 2560x1600. Some newer games though may go higher?

I have never gotten reached the limit of my 3gb 780 at 1440p.

I also have never played a recent ubisoft game.
