Some deals to be had with the 3600 lately and wondered whether to jump from my 2700... is it worth it?
Yes. Is faster on light loads eg gaming. What's your motherboard and RAM?
You should see better and more consistent gaming performance with the 3600 over the 2700x.
but is it woth selling and buying a 3600....
i think not.
i have a 3600 and its a killer CPU, my brother as a 1700x@4ghz it dose everything mine can.
your 2700x should be fast than a 1700x, so just no point.
I see above OP has confirmed he has a B450 mobo so that rules out the Ryzen 4000 option.
who said b450 wont support 4XXX?
is this real news or fake like the a320 wont support 3XXX...
It's all over the internet and the forum dude. AMD announced two days back only B550 and X570 will support the 4000 series.
I have seen it online but not from AMD direct. Could you link to the amd info.
It is funny though, all the buy a B450 and upgrade latter threads haha.
Can this really be true?

It's out there some where:
That includes X470 as well.
B450 Pro Carbon with Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200 2x8GB?
well that sucks for the people that got b450 with the plan to upgrade, and to them i say hahahaha...
but we have been told this before with the x370, b350 and a320 that said "NO 3000 SUPPORT" and we have not run into a board that dosent support the 3000 chips.
What about B450 MAX, thay was made with a bigger bios with the sole purpose of having a bigger bios chip to support the new cpu's.
Look like amd said the reason is the bios chips cant hold the code for all the cpu's
There will be a bios flash out, ever from the board makers or over at tweaktown
