2750n Grief

Decided to upgrade the firmware on my 2750n yesterday, & in the middle of it, we had a power cut for all of 2-3 minutes. :mad:

As result I've bricked the 2750n, tried the Draytek utilities several times, & I cannot get the firmware to install. :mad:

Contacted Draytek this morning, & they refused point blank to issue a RMA, as I can't produce a receipt from an authorised reseller, & I can't remember where I bought it.
So, I currently a rather nice 2750n paperweight, is there anyone or some where you send it, other than Draytek.
Certainly won't be buying a Draytek product again after poor customer service.

Check credit card/bank statements to find out where you bought it from and then get a copy invoice from the retailer?

Not sure something like this is eligible for RMA though as it isn't Draytek's fault that it is broken

I don't want it replaced, just need someone to do the firmware flash for me, as I've tried & failed.

Are you trying to flash the .rst using tftp? I think that should always work since you can't brick the bootloader which contains the tftp server.

I was also going to suggest trying the .rst firmware, but there only appears to be .all firmware available for this model (on the UK site).

Damn, I kept a copy of the RC1 firmware and definitely had an .rst.

I'll keep looking but I think I've deleted it

That's the problem I'm having, Draytek UK did send me some firmware, but it was a .all version.

Geforce, I also had a .rst copy, but it was one thing I forgot to save when I reformatted the hard drive on Monday. :mad:

Must in future put it on a disc for safe keeping if ever needed again.
