290 fan headers

So it wouldn't work on the graphics card? If I did plug them into the motherboard, how would I control it? I'm assuming I'd lose the automatic fan control for the GPU.
Don't think you gonna be able to effectively control the fan speed you way you want it to using just the motherboard control. I think you'd either just leave the fans on full speed, or invest in a physical fan-controller...

Or may be the motherboard's window app has control for specific fan(s) on the fly?

Hmm, I have direct control of my chassis fan headers through the ASUS suite, however, it's obviously not tied to my GPU temperature.

Assuming Speedfan recognises and can control the fans attached to your motherboard header, you can set the speed of them to vary with your GPU temperatures. I've got the two large intake fans on my RV03 being controlled based on GPU temp. :)

Yes it's not gonna do it for you automatically tied to the GPU temp, I was more talking about just turn the fans down when not gaming, and turning them up when you do manually.

Oh, that sounds promising. I'll look into that. Thanks all for your help.
