290 Tri-X Throttling

Is there a way to disable the throttling? I'm only able to push +50mv and 1100mhz before it throttles even though GPU and VRM temps aren't even pushing 70c. Is this normal?

14.2 beta 3 I believe


Also possibly unrelated, Heaven 4.0 cant read the temperature, GPU-Z can mind so possibly just a bug with Heaven

Try 13.12 WHQL. Ignore the heaven temp bug.

You shouldn't need that much voltage to reach 1100mhz tbh. But it's certainly strange it throttles!

So I can get it to 1180 on the core but requires +200mv with 13.12, no throttling (thanks!) Also noticed the fan is grinding intermittently at any RPM. I've had a look and its not stuck or anything so will take it back to ocuk on monday see what they can do

Sound strange! Also 1180 needs +200mv? sounds like a bad clocker Is there anything making contact with the fans? internal fan wire etc?

1100MHz@stock voltage should be attainable, 1180MHz/+200mv on the other hand isn't worth it tbph.
