Is anyone else suffering from temperature related stability issues?
Using AMD GPU Clock Tool to measure temps, as soon as they get to 78-79 on ASIC / 72-73 on LM64 I'm suffering from game crashes, BSoD and even the occasional glitch in windows apps. I just attempted to play F.E.A.R and it only lasted about 10mins before crashing to the desktop, followed by a BSoD when trying to relaunch it. In contrast, I played HL2 DM for just over 2 hrs earlier hitting max ASIC of just over 73 & LM64 of 67 and not a single problem.
Not sure if I've got a duff card that is sensitive to heat, or if the extra power draw due to the heat I've seen mentioned is tipping to PSU over the top (I've got a Corsair 520W btw) or what the issue is.
Any feedback would be helpful.
As an added thing to watch out for, if something does crash to windows then check of the clocks have been reset to the 2D settings as I spent all last night heating the computer room on full 3D speed
