2900xt upgrade time?

i have a 2900xt(flashed from pro)

i play games at 1920x1200 on my 24inch lcd monitor.

What card would suit me best? Should i wait for a while im not sure what to do thanks

I personally would wait. Although its not top of the range anymore, its still pretty powerful. Proper next gen should hopefully have a worthwhile performance difference.
 
I went from a 2900Pro @ 850Mhz core and 1000Mhz memory to the GTX and it's a worthwhile upgrade. There's a few games that you won't notice the difference with when you don't use AA but as soon as you pump on the AA/AF at high resolutions the GTX can provide a smooth gaming experience where the 2900Pro past XT speeds will start to struggle. Even UT3 and Timeshift which don't use AA is a bit sharper on the GTX. CoD4 feels smoother without AA as I had the 2900Pro card in last week to test out the 8.3 Drivers but AA is good to use when playing. Timeshift and UT3 might have improved also but that doesn't matter really because as soon as you plug in your GTX there will be no looking back :). Only the X2 is in the 8800GTX's league and at £60-£70 dearer, it's better to get the GTX. AA performance compared to a single 2900 is much better.
