Hi, if this is a really daft question then I apologise but here goes anyway...

I've been offered an ATI 6950 with no display for little money. Would this card be suitable as a second card in crossfire setup?
Apparently the fans spin up etc, but no display.

(I'm wearing my tin hat so fire away) :o

The 6950 isn't a good buy now unless it's really cheap. A 7850 has better performance for £120 new. Plus it sounds dead.

For £25, it's got to be worth a shot. At best, you get a Crossfire system (and they ALWAYS look nicer through a case window than a lone GPU), and at worst you get the geekiest doorstop/paperweight ever - and you know that'll impress the ladies no end. :D

TBH, I suppose I was just wondering if it was possible/probable that the internals may be OK and just the output that was knacked. Like I said originally, I'm sorry if it's a daft question.
And the only lady I can think of that would like my ATI paperweight would be my 1yr old granddaughter for strategic bashing purposes. My missus would just see it as money that could have been spent having her nails done...

Thanks for the help anyway fellas.
