Hello,

Plug-in the hard drive and navigate to 'Computer Management' in Windows 7, you should then see 'Disk Management', select it. Does it show up in there?

That doesn't sound too good. :(

I don't have too much knowledge in this area, but I'd suggest purchasing a HDD cage/caddy so you can connect it up via USB to see if the HDD still functions. Somebody else is likely to come along soon with a better idea though. :)

shows only 59.xx windows and 100mb system reserved nothing else. im confused..... theres nothing in the bios , if i look at boot options theres 2 , dvd drive and M4 ssd

moose i did have that idea in my mind, i may try my step dads older pc as i could be settings in bios no?

If it shows on disk management you have to change the drive letter i think.

Yeah, I just remembered that you need to scroll down a bit. If it's working you should see the details in a grey/black, you'll need to add a drive letter/partition for it to turn blue.

Why did I forget this? I did the exact same thing this morning with my reinstall. :o

I don't see any reason why you couldn't, it's a process of elimination. It's a long shot, but do you have a motherboard with the dual BIOS feature?
