I've had to replace my 2nd HDD thru failure. Both drives worked fine.
However I've bought a new HDD (Seagate 1TB) and although both BIOS and Device Manager correctly identify the new driver, disk management does not show it so I can't partition and format.
The new drive is even recognised in Aida/HWM.
Disk Managment just shows:
Disk0
Disk2-5 (USB card reader)
Board: GA-M68MT-2SP
HDD0: Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid (500GB)
HDD1: Seagate Barracuda 7200/64 (1TB)
O/S: Win XP Pro SP3. Fully up-to-date (set to auto as I can't be bothered faffing)
I'm all for chucking it out the window tbh.
