2nd hand raid 0 HD - Will it work alone?

My friend has a Velociraptor HD he once used in RAId 0 with another. But I just want one off him. If he gives it to me, do i have to change anything through my BIOS (or something like that) in order to use it on its own? Or would it work fine if i just connect it to my pc and normal???

Sorry if this is obvious but my knowledge and experience with RAID HD configs is very limited.

It will just work fine, will need formatting which you can do in windows or when reinstalling.
