2nd Hardive Detection!!

Hi,

I just build another pc using the Asus P6T Deluxe OC Palm Edition.
Installd windows ok. connected my back up hardrive. but it won't detect in the bios or windows. but it does if i connected to my other pc?

If i connect the back up on it's own, it detects in the bios, but if i connect both, then the back wont detect as stated

Anyone got any reason why this is please

Both pc's are Win7 64bit

What make & model of disks are you using?

What interface do they use?

Which ports are they connected to on the new mobo?

Do both drives spin up when they're connected?

Hi,

I got it showing in the bios.
But not in windows.
is says Unallocated ? any reason why ?

It's a Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache

It's unallocated because it's brand new.

Right click on the area under the black line and pick "New Volume". When it gives you options for the format keep the defaults but check the Quick Format option.
