Hi, i hve an ssd with windows 7 installed and i have another 500gb hdd that i want to install just games on.

As this is my first time doing this i just wanted to make sure i dont have to do anything special to make it all work ok.

Firstly i have formatted the hdd via windows 7...is this ok to do?

Do i have to install anything on the hdd for it to be recognised for games??

Do have to do anything in the bios?

Also having steam installed on the ssd can i still install the games on the hdd??

Many thanks :)

You don't need to do anything else, format the drive and away you go.

You can install steam on the SSD and move games across to the HDD but honestly I don't think it is worth the hassle. Might aswell install steam on the HDD along with the games then if for example you ever do a clean install of the OS on your SSD steam will be ready and waiting for you to run it again afterwards.

It's the way I run my system

Clean and simple

Just be aware when installing non Steam games to point the installer to your Games drive :)
