Location
2 doors down from Subo
Was at a wedding yesterday so decided to take my d70 and tripod and went in early to get some pics of the location in HDR.

C&C appreciated. I haven't fully played about with them yet and I know the first one is a bit ott but I just love the vibrant colour constrast. Wish I had a sigma 10-20mm too!

Number 5 looks as if he's taking a whizz :/
Agreed! You've caught him at the wrong moment.

The first one still looks a bit cartoony and fake. Try to go a bit easier on the HDR effect and use it with the aim of bringing out detail rather than totally changing the entire image.

2 & 3 are bloody great, very good use of HDR there. There is a great sense of grandeur, exactly the sort of impact you want the image to have. Good job!

#4 does nothing for me, it's just a headstone.

Cheers Scuzi. My personal favourites were 1, 2 and was only gonna post them. I like the first one as it is almost surreal, not as a photograph, could I edit that using curves etc and photomatix to get a more real effect?

It could do with a bit more contrast although I'd rather start off with the originalk that the HDR'd version.

BTW, #3 is my favourite of the lot, very closely followed by #2.

Cool. I'll try that tomorrow when I get a chance. Might get 2 or so printed up in 30x20 prints using that photobox offer :)

Some very nice images, nice location too. Good edits, as you said with the contrast it really does add an appeal to what could be a very generic shot. Number 2 and 3 are fantastic :)

Yup, Linlithgow Palace.

Cool, been there a few times but never seen the inside - you can get some fantastic colours on the brickwork when the sun's going down usually

Your processing in these shots is really good, you've really brought out the various textures and colours without going OTT :)

Most are a bit OTT for me, but the second is nice. The third is also great but definately needs some slight rotating and then cropping a bit of the left hand side to get a nice symmetrical shot.
