2nd M.2 drive

Hi all

I'm getting a bit tight for space on my gaming HDD, so I was thinking of getting another. But I just checked and my motherboard has space for a 2nd SDD so it occurred to me maybe I'd be better off filling that slot and having a gaming SDD as well as a gaming HDD.

I've never fitted an SDD though, so thought it sensible to check my thinking in case there's something obvious I'm missing!

The motherboard is an ASUS Prime Z370-P. Has a 0.5TB SDD already in place with the OS on it.

Anything special I need to know about fitting? Any alternative I should consider instead?

Crucial P2 is bait and switched to QLC drive.

WD Blue SN550 still uses TLC and can always keep up faster than HDD speed in sequential writes.

Glad I checked the reviews for the Crucial P2. Was going to order the SN550 instead then checked more reviews and decided the SN570 was worth the little extra and ordered one today.

Is this one even better for only £1 more? It seems to have higher claims speeds, but can they be trusted?

Get the 1tb western digital sn 550 mentioned above for simmlar money, you won't notice the speed difftence.
