So I currently have a spare FX8150 or a G860 with Gigabyte H61 Mobo as options- The machine in truth doesnt get a lot of use at this point

The G860 & Gigabyte H61 mobo are currently in the machine & its mainly used for World of Warcraft etc but I have the spare FX8150 which I could get a mobo for and offload the Intel

GFX Card is a GTX Ti560

I was going to start running VM's on it, play WOW,EVE & Elder Scrolls online when it lands, etc & could even just replace the FX8150 in a few months but it done the job for me until I got a FX8350 & I was quite happy with it

I could sell either one but would have to get a Mobo for the Amd If I was going to keep it

Looking for some opinions & thanks for taking time to reply

Keep the AMD, grab a reasonable board and some RAM.
You can get the ASRock 990fx board for 90quid atm and get 8gb of 1600mhz ram for 50-60quid

What is the board model number? Just because some of them boards may not cope well with that CPU because amount of power it draws through the vrms.

Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P which is the later version of the DS3 which I know wasn't a great board but this is verified to run up to a FX8350 now

Back this up with the 3 year Warranty & good service in UK & its a no brainer

Its only for my 2nd PC so wanted to spend as little as possible
