2nd phone line?

ok guys.... im after installing a 2nd phone line in my house, so i can have a seperate isp to my parents...

is this possible, has anyone done it, and how much is it?

Yes you can have multiple phone lines with seperate Internet connections on each. With BT, it'll cost you £150 for a brand new line installation and the cheapest line rental is £11 a month.

If you can get bulldog, I think they do much cheaper installation for a new line.

An additional line is £125. The BT page for it is here.

Bulldog offer a second phone line for £5 a month (and they say the installation is free) here, but it looks like it's just VoIP over the first line, with a "VoIP router" (ie an ordinary router with an ATA built in)...

We paid £60 to have the 2nd phone line installed, and that was with Bulldog. After that all phone bills and Internet bills all go through Bulldog - I think it was £40 all together a month and you get 8Mb unlimited download.

is this run through the same line as such as the original phone line??

will it be as fast and stable as the original phone line?? i.e, i have 1mb connection atm and a steady ping of about 20-30 in game most of the time

Generally, it's a completely separate line.

next q', is who dya reccomend for isp... gonna go with that UKFSN i think unless anyone reccomends otherwise
