Are we not likely to see 2TB 7200RPM drives any time soon? 2TB drives have been out for a while now haven't they? Most of the 2TB drives out on the market I see are 5400RPM (Hitachi and Seagate). I'm looking to upgrade my current hard drive for my OS to a 2TB 7200RPM.

We now have the Cav blacks in 2TB format, both the older unit and the newer :)

I however would seriously contemplate looking at the samsung F4. it may be 5400rpm but because of its platter desaign (tri 667gb platters) its VERY quick rivaling the other 2TB drives that use quad 500gb platters.

The Cav blacks are an excellent drive however the Hitachi is far from slow :)

A star that burns twice as bright shall be know as a death star. :p

Ive owned one and you couldn't be more wrong.

The Deskstar range are superb drives and do not deserve to be flagged like there previous drives years ago.

Do you really think that OcUk and the other big Etailers would be still selling the deskstar range if they are being returned all the time.?

It's a joke.

You have to admit it is a pretty daft that they kept the brand name considering it's image.

On another note i hear the German government are re introducing the swastika as their official logo.

Reports confirm that "they don't think people will make the comparison".

:D loool yes been there with IBM/Hitachi with their Deathstar drives.. was a 320Gb and a 160Gb or 120Gb model that did the the chirp or click of death in end and funny part they replaced them both only to happen again 6 months later.. so next replacement I sold them as new ... Never again will I buy their drives they wasted so much of my time and lost data I can never get back.
