The Reds are good drives too. Although intended for NAS use, they are perfectly fine for a PC.

I believe at that price only the WD Black is a CMR drive, but SMR is perfectly fine for the average user. I have an SMR ( actually a WD Blue ) in one PC and it's a great drive.

WD Black, dual controllers for improved IO, and higher quality then the Barracuda.

People associate WD Blacks as gaming drivers, however there really workstation HDD's, computers that will be used everyday doing high disk IO where reliability is important.

There is however one drive that's even better then the WD Black, and that's the WD Ultrastar drives, I would choose a 2TB WD Ultrastar if you could find one at similar price to the black.
