It looks like my current Games drive is on its way out. I'm after a 2TB replacement.

Do you think its worth paying the extra and going for a WD Black (5 year warranty is appealing to me). I already have 2 SSD's I can install some games on but wanting a decent performing mechanical drive.

Thoughts?

WD Black is great, ive owned a few in the past.
Whats the warranty for the Seagate Barracudas, those are fantastic drives as wel

Well to reassure you, i have 3 in my system at the moment and passed 2 5+ year old ones to a friend and theyre all working fine.
Since its a game drive, i doubt the data is very valuable so IF the drive failed, you could buy another one and probably accumulate the price for both to one WD drive.

Either way, both drives are excellent. Its all now what youd want to pay and if youre concerned about warranty.

I'd buy a £68 Barracuda and put games on that. No way the WD Blacks are worth the money in comparison.
