Hi guys
I've just purchased a new 320Gb Seagate 7200.10 HDD after reading the recommendations on this site.
The drive is going to be used as my main drive and will replace a 160Gb Maxtor drive; however the Maxtor is a SATA 150 and the Seagate is a SATA 300.
The plan is to use the Seagate for the XP install, applications games etc and use the Maxtor for the swap file, data storage, backups etc.
Probably a dumb question, but will I still be able to set the Seagate at 300 and enable NCQ (which the Maxtor cannot do)?
Edit: DOH! - Ok I've just read the FAQ on SATAII and this has answered the question about running both drives at the same time. But your thoughts on the question below would still be appreciated
Do you envisage any problems, such as corruption when transferring files between the two drives?
Thanks
