Hi All...at the early phases of a new build....

Looking at a 5090 build put together a basket *I've amended some prices to what I can get them for*

Used for gaming / editing in adobe premier etc attached to 3 monitors

after some feedback / thoughts on all this -

1000W MSI Gold psu good enough?

the case I haven't found yet im limited to 210mm width so a bit annoying but I can make it wider if there is nothing suitable!

5090 is overkill I know but id rather have an overkill gpu for the next 5 years than a "normal" one

My basket at OcUK:

Roughly 3 - 3.5 total price give or take etc

thankfull for all advice received!!

Antec CX700 or C3? Would be very tight though if that's literally 210mm. Have not checked compatibility with the AIO either.

@evertonhero so the replacement 2600x stayed stable after all this time?

Your last build was an epic adventure i hope that this 'epic build' will prove to be a lot smoother - especially the CPU.

And, yes, it really is overkill - especially at 1440p. Personally, i would swap it out for a 5080 and put the £900 saved towards your boiler repair and car that will inevitably decide break down during the build :D (you really had a tough couple of weeks during the end of your last build)

Or, pseudo bad luck aside, you would then sell the 5080 in ~3 years time (if needed) and use the £900 you've saved now to go towards a new GPU upgrade - a win win. As you know an easy update and you would have probably already covered the future upgrade cost with the money saved getting the 5080. Food for thought...

Best of luck with this one - i rarely have time to write on the forums anymore - but will keep tabs on this one.
