3.5" fan controller which controls 4 fans?

My CPU fan has a 4 pin PWM header, so that should mean I can easilly plug it in to the male 3 pin connector. I am pretty sure you can use a PWM fan on a 3pin connector as it has the 3 pin "mounting" built in to it.

What about the actual power cable itself to power the fan controller? Is that quite long too?

Sod it, ordered two of these + 2 Scythe Kaze Jyuni 1200RPM 120mm fans. I like the idea I can turn off 2 of the fans (so all 4 of my case fans if I want), something which will come in handy in the winter

I was surprised how little difference slowing the fan down made to the core temps, blowing a gale to a whisper only made 6 degrees difference. My board doesn't control fans, that is why I got this, to tame the CPU fan & may as well do the case fans at the same time.

Ah. I already have my CPU fan at the lowest setting (811RPM), its silent - however I want to be able to turn it up just a little if I OC as my bios doesn't seem to control the level even though I change the settings from "silent/optimal/performance".

Since fitting it my HDDs are annoying, I couldn't hear them before. I think it is the best £15 I have ever spent.

Got my two Xilence fan controllers today and fitted them. Pleased with the look, however some of the knobs on both of the controllers (different knobs on each controller) seem to be VERY stiff, which is a bit annoying. Is this the case with yours Nick644622, or anyone else who has it for that matter?

Yes, the CPU one was OK but the others were very stiff. After a week of a'twiddlin and a'fiddlin they either loosened off or my fingers got stronger

Haha! Ah well thats good to hear then, It took me ages to get them installed as I was trying to make them as tidy as possible -5 unbraided, curly 3pin fan extensions is hard work!

I braided a few of my case fans which were not sleeved and couldn't face doing the controllers ones. If I can be bothered I might buy some nice pre-braided ones.

Sounds like you have a window in your case. I tidy them up out of the way with cable ties & throw the side cover on. Tidy & a dog's breakfast all at the same time.

I dont have a window in the side of my case, I am just the sort of person who likes things tidy and if I know they are not the best they can be it will bug me!
