3 day week for those over 40?

Over 40s!!!

I'm 35 and work on a building site. By Thursday I'm dying. Wednesday night I got home had a shower and just lay on the bed. I was asleep by 6:30pm and didn't wake up until 6:30 the following morning.

What I don't understand is why there are people working themselves to death. Whether it's in the NHS or anywhere really. There are people putting 60 hour weeks in because of understaffing. Surely that could be split between 2 workers doing 30 hours each. The cuts in benefit payments due to all the extra workers should help reduce the tax burden on people.

But I guess we all know that this country doesn't work like that. There will always be people who have a strong work ethic and people who want to coast through life

Over 40? Should be out of the way well before then ;)

Ironic of course that you probably have to be over 40 to get this reference :D

I work basically a 3 day week now although 12 hours per day. I do have a lot more free time but due to us both working and with children we work opposite shifts whereas before although we had less days off they were together.
