Thought i'd keep it to just a few, but i'm looking to get myself some new, decent music and what better way than to ask people here for three recommendations.

No genre, just good (in your opinion) so i'm looking at all sorts; bands, house music, breaks, etc etc. The idea is that we can all (not just me!) go and have a preview of these albums and if they cut the mustard; buy them.

Doesn't have to be your fave three of all time, just three you'd recommend.

My three:

Kings of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak
Chemical Brothers - Exit Planet Dust
Yoshitoshi - In House We Trust 2

My Three Essential Albums (should be in your collection 'somewhere' if you like varied metal, varied metal types tho)

Metallica - Metallica (Black Album)
Sonata Arctica - The Collection
Iron Maiden - Greatest Hits (Edward the Great)

Last edited:
Led Zepellin - Led Zepellin II
Pearl Jam - Ten
Portishead - Dummy
The Smiths - Hatful Of Hollow
The Cult - Electric

Sorry, that's five, but they're the albums that get played most in my house.

This week I 'ave been mostly listening to:

Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous
Public Image Ltd. - Metal Box
Pearl Jam - Ten (coincidentally, Jeremy is one of my all time favourites)

Fractured Life - Air Traffic
Contact, Contact! - Tellison
Memoirs - Winterkids

I tend to like obscureish bands! They're all absolute top notch though, some of the best albums I own and have ever heard.

Jon

Metallica - Master of Puppets
Led Zeppelin - III
Buddy Holly - Greatest Hits (one that I compile)

bubbling under :
The Wildhearts - best Of (one that I compile)
Slayer - South Of Heaven
Metallica - Metallica

Feeder - The singles (full of great, uplifting songs)
Muse - Origin of symmetry / Showbiz / Hullabaloo (Great albums, cant decide on which)
Oasis - Definitely maybe (my favorite album of all time)

Weezer - Weezer (The Blue Album)
Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
Jimmy Eat World - Jimmy Eat World (Bleed American before 9/11)

3 of my favourite albums there, its hard for me to choose which one I like the most! Essential to my music collection at least :p

Rage Against The Machine - The Battle of Los Angeles
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
Sum 41 - All Killer No Filler

This misses out so many albums that I listen to all the time but...

Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker
Pixies - Doolittle
Weezer - Weezer (good call m0r94n, and a rovers fan to boot)
