So bought myself a 3rd monitor to go with my current 2 cards..

Got all 3 cards plugged into the main card in my crossfire setup (2 DVI and 1 HDMI)... 3 monitors show up in the settings but 1 is disconnect..

Anyone able to help me get 3 up and running. help would be greatly appreciated

2 x 23 inch (Dvi and vga) and 1 x 29 widescreen(hdmi)

IIRC you may need to use DP after the 2nd monitor. Depends on the card though. I'm now using an 390x and am using 1x HDMI, 1DP, & 2x DVI ports.

Think I had to use 1x HDMI, 1x DVI & 2 Mini DP on the old 280x.

If you are going to get an adapter the I recommend a StarTech one. I went through similar issues when setting up my three monitors and although there are cheaper adapters the StarTech ones worked the best.

(However, I now have a similar problem to you, as shown in a seperate thread...)

Never had a problem with el'cheapo adaptors, as long as they were active ones.

Are your 23 inch monitors identical makes and models? If so, you should be able to hook up the screens by 2xDVI + 1xHDMI and all 3 will work provided they're all attached at boot up.

If your monitors are all different models, then the others are right and you'll need an Active DP to DVI, HDMI or VGA to hook up one of your screens. OcUK does them (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/startech.com-displayport-to-dvi-active-adapter-dp2dvis-cb-047-sr.html) but they're currently out of stock but hopefully searching for the model DP2DVIS should show other options. This will be fine if the monitor you're connecting is 1920x1200@60Hz or less.

Yeah sadly all different makes n models all acquired at different times over past few years. 1 is vga, other is hdmi or dvi and the newest 2 x hdmi so arm gfx card has vga>dvi adapter and dvi linked up with the new monitor going to hdmi port.

As long as I get an active DisplayPort it won't matter which 1 I decide to go for will it??
