'3' network - recommend them?

Was with Three for ages and they've were very good!
It was only when they cancelled their One Plan that I had to move but otherwise they'd been great

Coverage was rubbish when I was with them (prob 2010 to 2012)

Keep on the Ee network (change to Bt for price?), they're the best I've has

The beer is strong in here tonight. :p

Coverage isn't as good at my house (due to the elevated railway arches behind my house) but it's generally OK. The plus side is the 4G speeds are really fast when the signal is good (mainly in Central London).

I've been with Three for a few months now after leaving EE to get unlimited data, I've not had any issues at all. Speeds and coverage has been flawless.

in st5 postcode this is by far the best network for mobile internet speeds. The pricing has gone up recently though, but for actually performance I rate them the best of all the UK networks.

I dont find many areas that suffer from coverage in general at all though.

I actually had a text from three last week telling me the st postcode actually has had an upgrade as well which they claim improves indoor signal in areas that were weak. Not that I found any weaknesses.

For example my local morrisions soon as i walked into the building on vodafone and with o2 the signal cut dead for data and calls. I assumed all networks suffered as a result of the roofing material etc. (metal) but when i switched to three, i noticed that my singal was fine in there, and in actual fact, mobile data is perfect too. Full 4g in this building.

Of course other areas may have different results.

It's probably the LoLTE upgrade but it will only work with phones bought from Three themselves or iPhones.

I've tried O2, Virgin & now been on 3 for about 2.5 years & never had any problems. There is a lose of signal sometimes here & there but nothing dramatic.

I'd say yeah go with 3 & enjoy.

I left them and went ot O2 a few months ago.

In my experience with 3, it's all or nothing. You either get a good signal or nothing. There seemed to be no middle ground.
They were great for the first year, but for the last 6 months I was with them the coverage was very poor. Even in areas that were good in the past.

I've been with 3 for years and I won't be leaving them any time soon. I'm on a rolling monthly contract with them and I get 600 minutes, unlimited data and unlimited texts for £15 a month. Plus they've just put 4G in my town which doesn't cost any extra.
This is the last time I did a speed test:

Which is about 3 times faster than my home broadband.
