3 previous owners?

If the book is stamped up correctly (oil changes done at correct intervals etc), general condition is good and tyres are a reputable brand then its certainly not worth dismissing if you'd are the 4th owner :)

I decided to go for it, the car was in brilliant condition with only an odd stone chip on the bonnet. The MOT and service history were all in the glovebox, the previous owner did around 13k per year for the last 2 years.

07 plate Mondeo Zetec (duratec engine) with climate control and electric windows front and rear. With my previous (quite rusty!) 53 plate Mondeo the total was £2500 and I'm more than happy with that.

Depends on the car.

Older and specialist cars are bound to have been through lots of owners so as long as its cared for its all good.

Regular cars get treated like crap after the first couple of owners almost certainly, so would always try to get a 1 or 2 owner car unless its banger money where it doesn't really matter. Although my banger had only 2 owners despite 155k miles and it shows, now over 170k and been completely trouble free. Not bad for a 275 quid car that does 45mpg :)

As a dealer I must admit 1 or 2 owner cars is nice when they are older vehicles, but on the whole the number of owners isn't high on buyers list of prioritys.

Not many ask anymore!

And more and more cars are changing hands than they used to.
