Just got the 3 Red Lights of death. After trying a few things it seems to be working now after unplugging everything and then replugging everythinig in.

I am just wondering is the 3 Red Light Problem likely to occur again? should i contact microsoft and send it away or keep it in hope it lasts for Halo 3 :D

*Edit it didnt work just died on me again

I had the same on friday then unplugded etc. but its still working but its getting picked up. I was tempted to just overheat it myself but im sending it anyway hopefully they fix it.

I respect your loss but we get one of these threads literally every week :( Can't we put them all in one official thread or something

Whats the problem with that? Title clearly states what the topic is about, you dont have to read it.

Bandwidth! Come on, as if its really going to make the slightest bit of difference out of the 1000's of posts on this forum.
Don't shoot the messenger.

I'm just telling it like it is.. most repeat threads are pruned to reduce bandwidth and ultimately "forum congestion" :o

Quick question, just had a call of my misses to say my second 360 has died, bought this one on ebay. made sure the microsoft seal was still intact. Do they ask for a reciept for sending it back or, don't they care as long has you haven't opened it?

Nope they dont ask for a receipt mate, when mine went belly up the other day...i rung them and all they asked for was the serial number...once you give them that then they book it in to get fixed.

How do they prove that the console is still under warranty, and ultimately, later down the line, that it is younger than 3 years? Some shops have consoles on shelves with build dates over a year ago!

mines still alive just scared its goona die when i get halo3 , had it awhile now and had no problems

You can prove its purchase via reciept as I believe it's from purchase date and not manufactured date.

How are people checking the status of their repair?
I went to the website and clicked on my registered 360 but everytime I do it I get A problem occurred, and your request cannot be completed.
Are people ringing up or going through the website?

Nokkon, I asked because Spawn said "Nope they dont ask for a receipt mate, when mine went belly up the other day...i rung them and all they asked for was the serial number...once you give them that then they book it in to get fixed."

So they don't normally ask for a receipt unless the build date is older than 1 year (or older than 3 years later on)?
