Hi Guys.

I need some help with a little task.

I need to build a BASIC! PC that will simply run a linux OS to boot into a XenApp environment, all of the team leaders use 3 screens and the new WinTerms wont support 3 screens so i need to look at other options.

I know if i go SLI or Eyefinity ill be able to get 3 screens on the go but does anyone know what the cheapest way of having 3 screens to produce an extended desktop, we need to have Call Ques on one, daily stats on another and be able to do their work on the 3rd.

Any help would be appreciated.

basic pc? i would say find the cheapest radeon card that you can do eyefinity with. i see some for 20 quid if your only using desktop. never tried a cheap pc though so maybe someone else says different not sure if you can do 3 on the cheapest ones because you need an active adapter for 3 screens with eyefinity

If you only need three separate displays, then you can do it with any combination of cards you want - onboard, nVidia, AMD, or a combination of them all. This will allow any application to be maximised to any individual screen)

You only need Eyefinity or nVidia Surround compatible stuff if you must have one large extended desktop (so anything you maximise will fill all 3 screens)

So - any one or more graphics cards with the relevant outputs to match your monitors.

Be aware that some cards share the HDMI and DVI outputs, so you might not be able to use both at once - I'm doing an extended desktop with a DVI, a VGA and a DisplayPort!
