It was part of a Becker navigation kit, you can buy the facia and frame separately though, part numbers here (6 & 7):

It's possible you might need to trim the frame a bit depending which head unit you have.

!!! See now I think that looks worse, it's centred but out of line with everything else...off since the rest of the area is inline...to me anyway. On the left aligned one like in mine I can add the parrot bluetooth "blip" thing laterinto the gap in the faceplate and hide the wire via a hole behind it easily., quick and clean!

I do like the flush fit of your centre one though, mine sticks out with a "shelf" on the top piece of trim. Do you have a pic of another angle ?

It's not mine, I have a standard business cassette player in my 328ci.

I found it on bmwland, the user 'redtwin' has it and I remembered the thread.
