3 way SLI - how can you fit 3 in!?

total waste of time and money for the preformance gain is it not? i could think of better things to spend money on, 1 high range card is more than enough for me tbh

can't really make a motherboard bigger tbh, especially in that dimension. I don't think you can trisli 8800GTs either can you? I thought it was 8800GTX and above?

yeh im probably wrong about the gt . but what i mean is single slot cooler cards. namely i dont think there are any yet which support three way sli. or is there ?

My trilsi setup is air cooled. It was way too hot when first setup with throttling of the cards after some time gaming. The cards were certainly never designed to be sandwiched together like that and my case (coolermaster cosmos) has terrible air flow. I fitted a case window with 2 120mm fans directly in front of the cards and a much better air in take fan at the bottom of the case. problem solved albeit you shouldn't have to problem solve when using stock equipment in a way endorsed by the manufacturer.

As a temporary fix before doing this i used an antec spot cool and that worked too but the didn't help with general air flow and the boost to case temps the three cards give.

It certainly isn't necessary to go to the expense of watercooling them unless you want to.

As to whether or not it is value for money, of course its not, but performance is great and it's fun tinkering with it.
