3 x 290x or 2 x Titan Blacks best for 4K?

I am putting together a gaming PC that will hopefully be able to cope with 4K. I am toying with various options and I would like opinions on which would be best, 3 290xs or 2 Titan blacks. They will be water cooled.

Thanks for the replies. I had considered the 8gb 290x card but I was also concerned about the problems watercooling it. I am not one of these obsessives about maxing out every setting for the sake of it and I expect software demands to increase in the future, but I would at least like to start out with a set up that is not already struggling.

Are there any other issues with a triple card set up other than increased heat and power consumption?
