Anyone else on strike or planning to go on strike on the 30th?

I am personaly, could do without it due to saving up for christmas. My employer argued that the nature of my job came under "life and limb" cover, but the union was having none of it.

Oh well.

I miss 3 lessons the week before 3 assignments are due it.

I have been told I will have to "deal with it myself".

The strike can go **** itself frankly.

If England as a nation feels the need to self destruct, then all power to them. When it turns around and bites them in the bum and breeds large amounts of resentment from the general public there won't be any sympathy coming from this direction. It appears that patriotism ends at the purse strings...

Unsure yet.

Although if I do I'm going to picket the Scottish Lib Dems office with a banner reading "Tremble false whigs in the midst of your glee!!!". In a kilt, with a sword...

My uni tutor is, I considered a sharply worded email telling him I wasn't bothering last wednesday with him as I do not support his involvement with the union (Lecturers are bone idle but I do agree other people need a good deal) but I just didn't bother as I could do with the extra wednesday off

I think there should be a general strike, none of this private/public stuff, all our employment rights and conditions are under attack from the tory scum

bloody teachers :(

i'm going to be down a days takings because i'll have to take the day off work to look after my kids due to schools being shut
