On a side note, would a Macbook be able to power a 26inch HDTV at 1360x768 without downgrading on quality? So I would be able to watch DVD's etc using front row on the screen at high quality?

It certainly would. My macbook drives its own 13.3 inch screen, and a 20 inch, 1680x1050 screen, which as far as its concerned is bigger than your HDTV, simultaneously.

As long as you're not gaming the macbook's integrated graphics are more than sufficient for anything you'd like to do, except driving quite exceptionally huge monitors :)

Barely? How so?

Mine seems to manage perfectly well driving its own 13.3 inch display as well as a 20 inch, 1680x1050 display simultaneously.

The rest of your post's bob on though :D

A combination of CS2 and lots of multitasking.

barely was a bit of an exaggeration to push my point across admittedly but the pro and a 24inch would be far better for working. or a macbook and a hdtv for entertainment purposes.
