well, Instead of buying it online, I went into phones 4 u and got a reasonable deal,

12 month 3 contract (VTT 1100) and managed to get it half price for the whole period (22.50) and a free 512mb mem card, however, they were out of stock, so gave me 30 quid to buy one, just ordered a 2 gig one online for a few pennies more

Dolph, whats oranges policy on video calls? are they extra or come out of your free mins like o2?

Also are the charges steep for surfing the net on a 3g phone if you dont pay extra for bandwidth, if u understand me!

Most packages come with a small amount of video calling built in at the start, but once those are gone it's chargeable and they don't come out of your free minutes.

With the 3g phone, your bandwidth is free for the first 2-3 months (depending on the talkplan you choose), after that it depends how much you are using but highest price is £3/meg, and bundles obviously reduce that quite dramatically.
