Thinking of picking up one of these!!!

But did not want to rush into buying if there`s a new revision being released....as it stand`s its Rev05, does anyone know if a new revision is being planned?

The revisions mean very little as they are normally minor firmware changes or bug fixes for OSD menu etc. very rarely will there be anything substantial in any of the revision updates and i'm not aware of anything significant on the U3011

Thanks...or maybe I should have asked is there going to be U3012 release?

no, there isn't a 27" or 30" model update in their 2012 range. only 21.5", 23" and 24". expect the 27 and 30" will get a refresh for 2013 (so late next year)

After many months of messing around I finally went for the 27", its a dam site cheaper and only 140 pixels diference!

409,600 pixels actually. But I think you made a good decision - WQHD on a 27" monitor is a nice resolution for many people.

The 27" is 16:9, 30" 16:10. I prefer the 16:10 ratio for computing.
