I was wondering those of you with 30" LCD monitors do you find it to big for FPS gaming? Is there literaly to much screen to physicaly look at?

I moved up from a 22" to a 27.5" Hanns G a couple of months ago. I confess that I almost had second thoughts when I saw the size of the box it arrived in. It's a huge beast compared to my old Samsung but I couldn't be without it now. I use it mainly for games.

I guess the decision on whether it's too big or not will really depend upon the distance between you and the screen. You don't really want to be sitting too close to a 30" monitor otherwise you will have to turn your head to see stuff.

I think 24 inch is the limit for me but it depends how far away you sit from the TV, if you sit just in front of it on a desk then 30 probably is too big.

Sit further away?

I use a 28" Hannspree, and have no trouble at all. I sit with my face about 2.5-3 feet away.

For my Wii and 360 I have a nice 32" Bravia on my bedroom wall and I just lie on a humongus beanbag on my bed :)

I have a 23" for my PC while im sat in front of it.

Theres one rule when it comes to the size of a screen for most men and that is, theres no such thing as too big :)

totally true :D i used to sit about 1 meter away from my 1080 50inc lg and that was good but still wanted bigger lol so i just got 2 24benq's and waiting on a third and i cant wait as it will be a full feild of veiw 2 of these seem massive so god know about 3 lol

i use a 30" dell now and i love it and browsing with vent msn and steam on the rhs of ie is great

The question you should really ask is: "Have I got enough space for such a large monitor?" Unless you have a stupidly sized screen, nothing is ever big enough though :p

That's the only reason why I haven't got one anyway, instead I have 2 24's, gaming on one whilst the other displays stats, Vent, Steam, pron etc.

I use a WFP3008 Dell which sits on my desk (table) about 2.5-3 feet away.

I love it, you will need a good video card to play at full Resolution (2560 x 1600).
