I've never spent this s much money on a monitor, and tbh I don't have much of an idea on whereabouts to start. In the past I've had a 23" 1080p HP and I'm currently using a 32" 720p Samsung TV. I run a 750ti and play WoW and maybe the odd bit of COD4 but other than that, it's purely for watching YouTube and Netflix content.

I'd like to keep to a 32" panel and have 4K, am I dreaming that this is doable on 300 quid?

Is 750ti sufficent for 4k? 1080p panels can do 4k with dsr but unless the ui scales it shrinks by x4. Ive seen a few fellas who play serious using 240hz for wow it would be cheaper that way monitors like the AW2518HF are good panels.

You'll need a better GPU for 4K. I suggest a RTX 2060S or Radeon 5700, and you'll likely have to lower a few settings in COD to Medium. But once you've gone 4K, you'll find it difficult to go back.

Honestly I don't mind downscaling the resolution to play some games but as this is my only screen, I'd like some 4k content to watch :p

Samsung LU32J590UQUXEN is your best bet for that price as long as you don't mind a VA panel and 60hz.

I had looked at this - a VA panel surely has to be better than my current Samsung TV that I took off display when I worked for the purple place many moons ago.

I am planning on upgrading the GPU around January so thanks for the suggestions :)

I'm only after a 32" because it's my main screen for everything, living at work has its downfalls sometimes.
