Been given a £300 budget to build a machine. No need for monitor but everything else needed. Wont be used for gaming or anything too intensive.

Was thinking about a AMD XP3500+ system maybe

Any ideas? :D

Whats the onboard VGA like on that mobo? :confused:

Is it worth getting a cheap Geforce 7100GS or something to give the system some graphical capabilities?
 
If there's no gaming going to be happening, then the 945G will be fine. I believe it'll be fine for Vista Aero too, if that's a concern for the future. Don't hold me to that, but I've just built a HTPC based around a 945G and intending to run Vista, so I'm hoping it'll be fine.
