if im honest, I personally would rather spend an extra 30 or so pounds on a 7950, resale value in the future, and its easier than overclocking a card to be as good as it, for the minor price difference... To me, 10% more cost for a better product is worth it. but the 7870 is a good shout if you cant move on your budget...
That's a fair comment fella.
Once again I apologise over the confusion with the mobo and RAM config. Bit of a brain fart there, I was thinking of the Rampage and seeing you had 6GB of RAM my brain automatically thought 3X2GB sticks.
RAM prices seem to be going up and up lately. Ideally you want the lowest CAS speed but the difference between C9 and C11 in the real world makes little odds.
Look at the 14400+ kits as well as 12800. They can often be priced very close and obviously if you can get faster RAM for a similar price it's a no brainer. As you have a CLC you won't be limited to just using low profile RAM but that would be a more sensible purchase.
