I'll have £300 ish to spend on upgrades over the next few weeks. My current Spec is:

CPU - Intel p4 3.00
MOBO - Asus P4S800D-X
GFX Card - nVidia GeForce FX5500 128MB
RAM - 1GB Value Ram (2x512)
HDD - 160GB IDE
PSU - Came with case 450W

I am wanting to upgrade to something A little Better for gaming. Im looking for some more Ram to support my web design applications. I also want a new case, something like the iCute (the one with the 140mm fan in the front).

Could you guys suggest what would be best to do?

TIA!

I would make graphics the first priority. Take a look at the 7600gt and 7900gt.
That should give the biggest boost for games.

If you want a new case, it would be a good oppotunity to get a new psu, as i imagine the one you've got is a cheapo one with not much power on the 12v rail and a good chance of destroying things if it decides to die. You will almost certainly need a new psu if you get a 7900 gt.

You should also look at overclocking, you might find a small investment such as a better cpu heatsink gets you a nice 400mhz overclock to speed things up a little.
